As a former MS Certified Instructor, I taught all the core MS Office apps to California State managers, supervisors, and private industry leaders in Sacramento at 2 different campuses. This is a good deal. I’ll be buying in, and you should too, if you work online.
I have planned to roll up to Tahoe to fish, but it appears skiing may be a better choice. Maybe both. The forecast calls for cold nights and cool days with scattered showers and wind. Not exactly what I had in mind but I’ll take it.
With several days to spend, I also plan on meeting with local business owners to discuss, well, business. I have 3 confirmed meetings – one with a painting contractor in Olympic Valley who makes and sells his own wood and concrete stain and seal. Another with a professional photographer and social media pro in Truckee who is helping to put on this weekend’s big Truckee Craw Thaw – a free food and music festival put on in part by the Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District. And finally, I actually have 2 more meetings with local bike shops to discuss marketing. At first, they were a bit cool to my pitch, but as they allowed me to discuss in more detail about how I can help – they both invited me to explain more in person.
In today’s heavily digitally oriented business world – old fashioned eye-to-eye communications seems to be, well, old fashioned. Honestly, I prefer it. I believe customers and clients prefer to meet the people that they may end up doing business with and ultimately paying.
I began working in digital media around 1997, and by 2000, I had created a small power-house entertainment and nightlife website called Sacvibe in Sacramento. In 2004, I expanded my services to include Lake Tahoe and finally San Francisco. Today, Facebook and other social media channels have all but killed my business model, but there is still demand for intelligent digital media pro’s. As in any industry, there is always room for smart people who can get the job done quickly, and for a fair price, and that’s what I offer.
I began working as a professional webmaster way before Facebook became a thing, and just after MySpace imploded in 2002. Since then, I have worked with HP, Google and HBO helping to produce content. Both as talent, and as a digital marketing specialist.
Focusing my efforts around Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, the Bay Area (SF) have paid handsomely. If you’re in this region, I can come to you, personally, and “wow,” you. I know my stuff, I work hard and can guarantee to produce a 10-to-1 ROI.
Since 1997, I’ve been knee-deep in tech, web dev, graphics, print, marketing, advertising, video, and photography, even a short stint as the managing editor for a local NBC affiliate channel in Sacramento where my duties were basically, webmaster and national contributing editor.
I completed a gig as a marketing specialist for Google and rebranded my old agency into Sierra Blue. Over the last 17 years, I have spent so much time working and playing around Lake Tahoe, that I began focusing more-and-more on developing clients around the lake. From Flume Trail Mountain Bike operation thru Crystal Bay and KB, to the old Sancho’s, to Granlibakken, and up to Squaw and over to Sugarbowl – I’ve been there, done that.
